The Alexandra Group - Senior Members Events

Our small friendly informal group continues to meet in each other's homes for a cup of tea or coffee, a cake and a chat on the last Friday of each month at 4pm.

If you are interested in joining us please get in touch with me Shirley at 131, Victor Road or telephone 020 8778 9422 for details of our meeting dates and venues.

We look forward to hearing from you.

If you can please bring along something that you have made, carved, painted, sculptured, grown, knitted, crochetted to Fridays meeting.
In other words some of your handy work for others to share.

Thank you for your support.

Christmas Lunch

Ten of us went to the Crown on Bromley Common for our Christmas Lunch.
Despite the snow warnings, we got there and back safely in three cars. The food was excellent and everybody had plenty to eat and drink.
A good time was had by all.

Thank you to Patricia and Stuart for hosting our pre-Christmas tea on the 22nd December.

Many thanks to Shirley and Doug for pictures of the

Alexandra Group’s Christmas Lunch

and of the

ARA stall at the Christmas Fair at Holy Trinity Church

Please join us, if you can, for tea and mince pies at 15 Hardings Lane at 2 pm on the 22nd December.

The Alexandra Group (previously known as the Golden Oldies) will meet on 28th October in the lounge of Holy Trinity from 2-4pm for “The History Of A Square Mile”

There is an admission charge of £2 to cover the cost of the hall hire but includes a cup of tea and cake.

Everyone is welcome!

After a lot of discussion, it was agreed that we would call ourselves “Alexandra Group”.
We hope that our new name will encourage other retired people on the estate to join us.

The next Golden Oldies meeting will be in the lounge at Holy Trinity Church from 2-4pm on the 23rd of September.

Vanessa Williamson is going to talk to us about the history of Penge.
