The mural has survived the bake in the oven. The clay tiles are being laid out on sheets and being prepared.
They will be finished before Christmas and we hope to have them up sometime in January/February with a small gathering to unveil them and celebrate our creativity!

ARA Harvest Appeal

Proceeds from the ARA Scottish Night were donated to St. Christopher’s Hospice. A big thanks to all of you who attended and made that evening a success.

A big thank-you to all the residents who opened their gardens yesterday and to all those who purchased tickets.
We sold 29 tickets making £87 for ARA. 17 tickets were given free to those who opened their gardens.

The raffle was rather slow but in the end made £37 for the Living Well/Food Bank projects at Holy Trinity Church.
A big thank you to all those who supported the raffle by either giving prizes or buying tickets.
There are several prizes unclaimed; the winning tickets are as follows:

667 Bottle of Cockburn’s Port
712 Bottle of white wine
718 Bottle of Absinthe
731 Alan Titchmarsh Garden Radio
773 Set of covered hangers

Please contact Shirley at 131 Victor Road or ring 020 8778 9422 if you have one of the winning tickets.

Thank you everyone for such a great day.

14th April 11.00am – Community Gardening and Seed Swap
As was rightly pointed out to me – Anna says – last week it is THIS Sunday not last Sunday which is the second Sunday of the month – our regular Community Gardening slot.

This means we will be getting our gardening gloves dirty at 11.00am tomorrow and will be planting the rambling rose and golden hops in the wildflower area as we didn’t have enough man/woman power last week.

Hope you can come and help.  Bring secateurs/hand shovel and/or a spade if you have them.

If you have any spare vegetable garden seeds, please also feel free to bring these along for a bit of a seed swap so you are primed with a good range of seeds to try out when you get home.

We’ll meet by the herb planter in Princes Rd (so we can tidy this up a bit) and then move on to the wildflower area in Parish Lane.
