A big thank you to Matthew, Edward Road for the lovely picture of the Panto cast.

Please put it in your diary!

“Percy Pickles and the Mystery of the Missing Cucumber” is an original Victorian whodunnit written to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Alexandra Cottages, and performed on Saturday 8th October 2016 at Holy Trinity Church Hall.

Most of the characters and their professions were taken from the 1871 census, but of course the story – centred on the theft of a prized cucumber – was entirely made up.

If you missed it and you’d like to see what it is about, or if you came along and would like to see it again, you have your chance: watch the videos below!

Please find below the minutes of our 2016 AGM.

Many thanks to Matthew, Edward Road for the official cast pictures of “Percy Pickles and the Mystery of the Missing Cucumber”.
It was an enjoyable afternoon for a number of residents, and lots of friends and family of the actors.
A huge thank you to all the actors, and Jane and Janet for organising the afternoon tea.

Most of the characters were taken from the 1871 census with their address, age and occupation.

Just a reminder that on Sunday 12th June we will be holding a street party in Princes Road to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the first Alexandra Cottages being built and to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.
The road will be closed to vehicles from 9am to allow us to clean and decorate the road and will re-open at 5pm.
The lunch will begin at 12.30pm and finish at 4.30pm and will include games and entertainment, including live music.

It will be great to see you and your family and friends, whether you can join the party for the while afternoon or just briefly. Please bring your own table and chairs and there will also be a table for people to bring along dishes to share. We also hope to have beer from our local brewery, Late Knights.
